The Inside Sales Manager oversees an in-house team of sales representatives and is responsible for assigned regional forecast achievement. The Inside Sales Manager will train and develop the inside sales team through focused feedback, skill gap analysis, and coaching to improve product knowledge, sales competence, and sales results. The Inside Sales Manager fully utilizes CRM as a planning, monitoring and reporting tool.

This position will coordinate closely with the Customer Care and Marketing departments to assure customers’ needs are being met with service levels and product/company information. The Inside Sales Manager provides competitive intelligence on a regular basis and advises the management team of any relevant competitive or industry information.

KEY TASKS

  • Utilizes Salesforce CRM to monitor team activity, performance and opportunities; reports key metrics to management
  • Manages the sales group to maximize sales and reach sales objectives.
  • Assists individual reps to build pipelines through prospecting, coaching, and territory planning.
  • Maintain high value customers through continual relationship-building and top service levels
  • Oversees training of new hires
  • Manages performance of the team
  • Execute sales and marketing plans as required.
  • Leads, participates and engages in routine sales group meetings and calls.
  • Provides customers with excellent customer service, including technical information as needed.
  • Develops annual business plan detailing key growth initiatives and forecast objectives.
  • Provides high-level quarterly business summary to the management team
  • May be required to work in the field to secure new business, attend industry events, training, etc.
  • Communicates customer needs and competitive information to management.

Education:

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelors’ degree preferred – preferred in Business or Marketing.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional sales experience, dental/medical device sales a plus
  • 4+ years of sales leadership experience.
